11.11.2005 Well today someone I just met in ICQ actually phoned me to give me some feedback on MyTodo ^^ This is the reason for the 2 new features today. Just one short notice on the Sorting: If you sort e.b. by Name and the sort by Name again it gets sorted in a reversed order. - Tyron 04.10.2005 MyTodo v0.5.0.30 has been released! :D (no changes since yesterday) 03.10.2005 Yet another neat feature. You have now the possibility to change a PostIts size at Runtime. This Size-Property is also saved in the todofile, so it will stay with this size. - Tyron 02.10.2005 As you can see in the changes list we fixed hell of a lot bugs and made MyTodo again more usable. So we removed the CSV Import/Export and implemented just another file format to the Open/Save Dialog. sulai implemented quite a lot Keyboard Shortcuts and added a big version of PostIt graphics and also added some other smaller stuff to ehance usability. What still hasn't been fixed yet is that you can launch multiple times even when it is deactivated in the MyTodos Options. This is why we removed that property from the Options window until we're able to fix that bug. - Tyron 22.09.2005 sulai (Martin Rittweger) joined the One-man-team! 21.09.2005 Yay! I found&fixed the Bug that was causing some very ugly behaviour (the selected todo and the selected node differed if you did certain actions). Now MyTodo should be finally save enough to do real work with it. v0.4.3 Build 26 - 18.09.2005 Yay, finally a new version. I'm glad that its out now because there was some ugly bug in the older version. MyTodo is now less annoying :D - It now only does a "Do you want to Save"-Request when changes are made. There is now also the possibility to a file association with .todo so you can double click .todo Files and MyTodo pops up and opens that file. But you need to set that in the Properties first. And notice: This action modifies your registry! So don't forget to remove it when you decide not to use MyTodo any longer (and you should also remove the Shortcut in the Startup Dir in Case you enabled that option) The next feature is that the ReminderWindow is now a generally held TodoList Window in which you can also list your todos by priority. I also implemented a possibility that you can say MyTodo (via command line parameter) that it should open that todolist on startup if there are important todos. e.g.: MyTodo.exe myfile -listimportant=5 -hide This will open myfile.todo, minimize MyTodo to the tray and lists all todos that have the priority "Immediate" Other example: MyTodo.exe -listimportant This will open the last used Todo an lists all todos with priority "High" (0..none, 1..low, 2..normal, 3..high, 4..urgent, 5..immediate) v0.4.2 Build 24 - 20.05.2005 No notes on this day. See changes List for further Details. 17.05.2005 You can now deactivate the 'Minimize to Tray'-Button by setting the show.mintraybutton Property in the Category [General] to Zero (mytodo.ini) If the Button is deactivated, the X-Button will be used (for minimizing to tray) instead. 15.05.2005 I just Found out that Converting from/to Outlook fails, if the .NET Programmability Support is not installed. I'm not quite sure if I catched that Exception right, otherwise: If you get a TypeInitializationException, the reason is most probably because you havn't installed that feature/component. v0.4.1 Build 20 - 29.04.2005 I added a 'Minimize to Tray' Button which I wrote 'from scratch' (http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/mintraybtn.asp) which should clearify the confusion with minimizing once and for all. Caution with the new Outlook 2003 Task Categories support, the conversion is very limited. If you import tasks with multiple categories, MyTodo only uses the the first category. If you export todos with categories it will export todos with no children and the children of a todo. E.g.: Todo1 Todo2 Todo3 - SubTodo1 - SubTodo2 - SubSubTodo1 Todo4 - SubTodo3 Then the exported todos are: Todo1, Todo2, SubTodo1, SubTodo2, Subsubtodo1 and SubTodo3 SubTodo1, SubTodo2 and SubSubTodo1 will have the Category "Todo3" SubTodo3 will have the Category "Todo4" Exporting without categories will export every todo. There are also plenty of Bugs fixed in this Version. v0.4.0 Build 16 - 30.03.2005 This is a small release that fixes some smaller bugs and contains now an export function for Outlook 2003 Taks as well as a nice progress bar when converting :) v0.4.0 Build 14 - 29.03.2005 Well, for the public this version seems to be like the same as Build 13 because of not publishing Build 13 (Build 13 was not in a really usable form ^^) The newly added features are now usable and shouldn't contain that much bugs. As you can see, there is a new dll called "Converter.dll". This library is meant to be completely optional and will contain any converters that will be coded in the future. In this Version it contains a importer for Outlook 2003 Tasks. Haven't tested it for older versions of Outlook yet, but i assume that it will crash. v0.4.0 Build 13 Yeeehaw, Back to Borland C# :/ #develop has one major drawback in not having an integrated debugger and also the designer seems to have some problems with my forms. Well, after about 3 Weeks of frustation I managed to stick forms to the desktop which means that every Todo now can be displayed as a post-it note :) Btw. the Post-It graphics can be changed by modifying the 'drawing.are' and 'image.location' property in the mytodo.ini. But caution! The .ini File is not meant to be edited, therefore it is not failsafe and MyTodo doesn't support any error correction or multiple formats. The Reminder window is now a little bit more handy by having the feature to stick to the screen edges and it is a little bit smaller now as well. v0.3.3 I finally switched now the IDE to #develop (formerly Borland C# Builder - really, REALLY buggy). Also the versioning system is now simplified because I use now the Version Information from the Assembly file and I wrote a small PHP Script to automatically increase build number. Because the Version Information from the Assembly only contains 4 Number there won't be any MyTodo Version Numbers that contain sub-subminor version like just the last version was. So now the Version Information will contain the following values: Major Version Minor Version Subminor Version Build Number v0.3.2.2 MyTodo is now finally completely translated into english so that i can upload it on Sourceforge now. MyTodo is now licencsed under the GNU GPL! :) There is also the option the change the font of the treeview and the description textbox now. And some Bugs were fixed again as well. v0.3.2.1 Just fixes of some ugly bugs... v0.3.2 Well, not much to say about this Release. Instead of the automatic resizing of the treeview and description textbox it can now be resized manually with a splitter inbetween. The expanded/collapsed state of each todo is now saved as well, so Refreshing works correctly and on restart you can see what you were working on last time. Another new thing is that you can prohibit MyTodo to have multiple instances running. That could be usefull if you often forget that you have it already running. v0.3.1 I removed the month calendar so that i had to rearrange all forms on the main window, i also found dozens of bugs and did another dozen of changes and smaller corrections. Now there's also a possibility to disable the tabbing in the description window. (tabbings was always on) v0.3.0 I completely rearranged the code and added lots of new features, therefore there may be some new bugs. MyTodo may crash by clicking the "Anzeige" button in the Reminderform, at least it crashed in my tests and i don't know if I could completely fix that problem. Another source of crashes may be in the Import->Tree function (since v0.2.1) Besides that I hope I was able to create a reliable tool which can be used. I would be glad if I hear about any suggestions or just about someone who is using this tool regularly :)
